Proverbs 13:15 ¶ Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
What is a transgressor?
Definition:
– to act covertly, to deal deceitfully, treacherously, unfaithfully, or to offend.
A transgressor is simply a person that knows what is right but does not do it.
Why is the way of the transgressor hard?
– because the transgressor will reap what he sows.
– because the transgressor will always be defeated.
– because of what and where it leads to.
Proverbs 14:12 ¶ There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25 ¶ There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
The fruits of the transgressor are:
The seven D’s
1. defeat
2. depression
3. distain
4. discouragement
5. deception
6. disobedience
7. death
-defeat…………….unable to live a victorious life.
-depression………..does not experience true joy.
-distain……………is critical or judgmental of those who are living a godly life.
-discouragement….is more focused on self than on others.
-deception………..is blinded from the truth.
-disobedience…….knows the will of God but is not willing to do His will.
-death…………….is spiritually dead and is on the road to eternal damnation.
Three different ways:
-My way.
-God’s way.
-Satan’s way.
In reality there are only two ways.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
1. the narrow way…..God’s way.
2. the broad way…….Satan’s way.
The way of Life
The way of Death
Which way have you taken and are you still on that way?
-Do you know that you are on the right way?
-What kind of fruit is coming out of your life?
-Do you feel removed or far from God?
-Do you feel close and in harmony with God?
-Have you allowed the Power of God to transform you?
-Have you surrendered every part of your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ?
-Is what is coming from your life, from God?
Consider Your Ways
Haggai 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
1Thessalonians 4:1 ¶ Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Consider the Ways of a Fool
Psalm 14:1 ¶ The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Zechariah 1:4 Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.
Proverbs 10:18 ¶ He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
Proverbs 12:15 ¶ The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
Proverbs 15:5 ¶ A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
Proverbs 18:6 ¶ A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
Proverbs 26:11 ¶ As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
Proverbs 28:26 ¶ He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Proverbes 7:1-27
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
The Fool:
-does not believe in God or that God means what he says.
-does not listen to or obey God.
-is a liar.
-does not consider his ways.
-despises instruction.
-is a contentious person.
-destroys himself and others with what come out of his mouth.
-wallows in his stupidity.
-puts his trust in himself.
-hates that which reveals.
Consider the Ways of the Wise
Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
Proverbs 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Proverbs 10:8 ¶ The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
Proverbs 10:19 ¶ In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
Proverbs 14:16 ¶ A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

-listens to wise counsel.
-is open to instruction.
-obeys and lives according to the Word of God.
-is in control of his tongue.
-has the fear of God.
-departs and forsakes evil.
Consider the Ways of God
Proverbs 26:10 ¶ The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.
Jeremiah 32:19 Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
Ezekiel 7:9 And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.
Ezekiel 18:30 ¶ Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Hosea 14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
Romans 11:33 ¶ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
God’s way is the only way.
Ephesians 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Our time is short.
The way of the transgressor is hard.
What appears to be the easy road, is the road that leads to death.
Are you on the narrow way?
Is your name written in the Lamb’s book of life?
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
