What is the condition of my heart today?
Is my heart open before God?
Is my heart soft and pliable, or has it become hard?
Are there areas in my life the I have not surrendered to God?
Has the Lord put His finger on something in my life that needs to be uprooted or changed?
Am I Walking in the Light?
Am I living in Victory or have I been overcome by temptation?
Am I living in willful sin?
Am I willing to go all the way with the Savior no matter what it may cost me?
Am I daily laying my burdens down at the foot of the cross?
Key Verse: 1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1John 1:5 ¶ This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.8 ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
How can we walk in the light as He (God) is in the Light?
-The weaker I am in myself and the more I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, the stronger I become in Him.
-If Jesus Christ is living within us and we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, this makes it possible for us to walk in the Light as He is in the Light.
-Our strength comes from Jesus and without Him all our efforts will fail.
If we are going to live in victory over sin and walk in the Light, then we need to continually be connected to the true source (the vine) Jesus Christ and rely on His Strength and Power.
We need the cleansing power of the blood of Christ to daily cleanse up and keep us clean.
Hebrews 3:7 ¶ Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. 10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
-Am I listening to the voice or prompting of the Holy Spirit?
-What if God is asking me the change something that seems impossible?
What should my response be? Will I say no to his Spirit?
(harden not your Hearts) Will I say, Yes Lord, and in time of weakness, willingly rely on His Power to carry me through, whatever the struggle may be.
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
-Jesus knows my struggles. He understands what I am facing. (vs. 15, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.)

Romans 8:1 ¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Colossians 1:9 ¶ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
-Am I walking in the Light?
-Am I continually growing In Him? or are there places in my heart where I am not willing to open the door to Jesus?
-Am I willing to give everything to Him or will I hold something back?
